Cafetaria Gean

‘Kiremko is the Rolls Royce among fryers’

Cafeteria Gean is a household name in Purmerend and has been around for 50 years. Eight years ago, it expanded to include a café, creating even more brand awareness and interaction. The snack bar uses the Kiremko fryer, a conscious choice by owner Richard Blom.

Why choose Kiremko fryer?

‘We stand for quality and hygiene,’ Richard explains. ‘The first impression is the best impression you can leave. If that’s not good, you can do your best, but then customers won’t come back. That is also why we chose Kiremko, because it is simply very good material. You never smell frying oil and the fries are super fresh.

Never another Kiremko fryer again

The cafeteria now houses the third Kiremko fryer. ‘In 2000, we did a drastic renovation and also wanted to replace our fryer. We first came to Kiremko then. We got a fryer with baskets and top cooling. It ran for about ten years. Then we renovated again and I had a custom-made baking wall made. It was still on display as a show model at the Horecava. The old one was overhauled and sold. Two years ago, we renovated again and bought a new model’.

The Rolls Royce of fryers

Richard clearly doesn’t want anything else. ‘The quality radiates from it. I sometimes call it the Rolls Royce among fryers. I am not saying that other brands are bad, but I just have a very good experience with Kiremko. It oozes goodness and that also helps with the look of the whole business. It really is a monster; if you see what we bake off during busy rush hours and how good it stays, that’s top-notch.’

Maintenance and reliability

For breakdowns, Cafeteria Gean has a maintenance contract. ‘You pay a bit for it, but that fryer is the heart of our business and you have to guarantee that. With Kiremko, we can do that,’ Richard concludes.

Thanks to the Kiremko fryer, Cafetaria Gean in Purmerend can continue to meet the high demands of their customers and deliver excellent quality.
